OnePlus recently launched its flagship smartphone — OnePlus 10 Pro 5G — in India. It seems that the company is also gearing up to launch a new mid-range smartphone soon. The rumoured smartphone is likely to be the Lite version of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 launched last year.
Tipster Yogesh Brar has posted some details about the upcoming smartphone from the company that reveal key specifications and design of the OnePlus Nord 2 CE Lite.
The alleged OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite is likely to feature a 6.58-inch full HD LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate and it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset, the same chipset that powers the recently launched Vivo T1 5G.
In addition to that, the handset is speculated to feature a triple rear camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor. In addition to that, the smartphone is likely to be backed by a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
According to Brar’s tweet, the smartphone will come with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and there will be no alert slider as we get on the flagship OnePlus smartphones.
The tweet also confirms that the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite will run OxygenOS 11 based on the Android 11 operating system.
The smartphone is speculated to come in two RAM variants — 6GB and 8GB and will be available in only one storage option of 128GB.
In addition to that, the tipster has also posted an image of the phone which gives us an early glimpse at the alleged OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite. For starters, the smartphone features a textured back panel with a rectangular camera housing featuring two bigger lenses, probably the primary 50MP sensor and wide-angle sensor and a small sensor in a triangular pattern.
It is important to note that this is not the first time that the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite has surfaced online. The smartphone has been spotted on several certification sites.
As of now, there’s no official information available regarding the smartphone’s launch. However, we can expect that OnePlus will launch the smartphone in the upcoming months.
